Originally from New York and now a Miami resident for almost a decade, David Sugarman was a vice president and financial advisor for major investment banks for many years. He has worked exclusively with many successful celebrities and the countries best known athletes. Most recently, David decided to take a risk with the genesis of SugarTime Sports and Entertainment. If there is one thing he wants his firm to be known for, it’s the intense focus on discovery of new untapped talents through his celebrity connections.

David has been in the financial services industry since 1997 when he started his career in New York City. David worked as a Vice President of Deutsche Bank, Managing Director of Laidlaw UK Sports and Entertainment Group and most recently a Vice President of Merrill Lynch. The clientele David serves encompasses professional athletes, entertainers, their business managers, agents and families. He works tirelessly on developing strategies and solutions to help his clients meet their short and long-term financial goals.

David’s relationship with clients was developed after noticing that many celebrity clients were not receiving the tailored attention they deserved and required. David is deeply involved with all aspects of his clients lives and holds their priorities above all else.

First, David takes the time to listen to and review client financial situations, preferences and goals. Second, he suggests a financial Advisor who recommends bulletproof asset allocation to accurately reflect each clients income and growth expectations. He follows up discussions covering a wide range of opportunities, including investments, retirement, estate planning services and philanthropy. David’s goal is to help clients maintain the same quality of life and standard of living during and after their professional careers by pursuing financial goals. David is actively involved with many charities and is currently the Co-Chair of Founders of Mt. Sinai Medical Center Foundation.
